FAQS

How can I become an authorized Éminence account?

Spas, salons, estheticians and certified professionals interested in more information about carrying Éminence can contact us toll free at 1.888.747.6342

Why did I find your products online ?

Éminence is proud of our collection of organic skin care and we stand behind each of the amazing products we offer if purchased from an authorized dealer. While we do have authorized online partners that can sell Éminence on-line, unauthorized vendors, including many online shopping cart sites, may sell outdated and/or imitation products, and should be avoided.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding authorization.

Why do you only sell your products in spas and salons?

Éminence Skin Care is designed to be most effective when prescribed by a professional skin therapist trained extensively by our team of Éminence Trainers, which is why our products are sold in authorized Éminence spas and salons.

Please use our Spa Locator to find an authorized spa in your area.

Are your products vegan-friendly?

Many of our products are vegan-friendly. Please look for our vegan-friendly badge on our product pages.

Are your products gluten-free?

Many of our products are gluten-free. Please look for our gluten-free badge on our product pages.

Is your plastic packaging safe?

Yes. All of our plastics are BPA free.

What is a stimulating (“HOT”) treatment?

Our stimulating products contain paprika and/or nettle which creates a tingling or “hot” feeling on your skin. These treatments generate a circulatory system response that brings fresh blood flow to the surface of the skin. This increase in circulation encourages the natural cell turnover in the skin while creating a detoxifying and oxygenated environment, leaving the skin toned, firmed and clear

What is the percentage of organic ingredients in your products?

Our products are up to 95% organic.

What products are safe for pregnant clients?

We recommend that pregnant clients check with their healthcare provider for any product contraindications that may be unique to them. It is generally recommended that stimulating products should be avoided, as women may find that their skin is more sensitive during pregnancy

How is it possible to make products by hand in the amounts that you must produce each year?

Our ingredients are still hand-picked and prepped and it is part of our eco-philosophy. We employ many farm labourers in Hungary which also has many community benefits.

What preservatives does Éminence use and what is the shelf life of your products?

Éminence uses natural ingredients as preservatives, such as lemon, soy-based glycine derivatives, sodium benzoate (a food-grade preservative derived from cranberries), and salicylic acid (under 5%), which is derived from willow bark and rosemary to slow down the oxidization process. The shelf life of the average Éminence product is 12 months.

NOTE: Our skin care products do not contain parabens or preservatives therefore they have a limited shelf life of 8-12 months when stored properly. At first you may consider ordering in smaller quantities until you know how much you sell of each product to avoid spoilage.

What type of preservatives do you use in your products? As you know all body care products require some form of preservative to keep them safe from bacteria. Our products are free from parabens, and artificial preservatives. We do utilize natural inhibitors and antioxidants such as Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Azadirachta indica (Neem) Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salix nigra (Black Willow Bark) Extract (not White Willow Bark which does not have the same effect).  In some cases we use a blend of Essential Oils, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Usnea barbata (Usnea Lichen) Extract as well. In other cases based upon the pH of the product, we also utilize Phenoxyethanol, which is an organic chemical compound. Our products have been formulated to be stable and safe, therefore we cannot alter the ingredients that we use.

What is SLS? Why does Éminence use alternatives to SLS?

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is a foaming agent used in bubble bath and also a factory floor degreaser and is commonly used in products that foam or bubble. Éminence instead uses Cocamidopropyl Betaine derived from coconut oil as this ingredient is a great non-irritating cleanser.

Are there fragrances and colors added?

We use non-harmful essential oils and the natural colors of fruits, vegetables, herbs and teas to enhance some of our products' colors and scents.

Where does Éminence source its ingredients from?

We source premium ingredients from all over the world and combine them with traditional Hungarian craftsmanship to bring you the best skin care worldwide. While most of our products are made in Hungary, a small percentage of our products are made in North America with Hungarian formulations and the finest ingredients.
