Niacinamide is the ingredient to watch!
Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinic acid, niacinamide is a potent cell-communicating ingredient that offers multiple benefits for aging skin. Niacinamide improves skin's elasticity, dramatically enhances its barrier function, helps erase discoloration, and revives skin's healthy tone and texture.

Topically applied niacinamide has been shown to increase ceramide and free fatty acid levels in skin, prevent skin from losing water content, and stimulate microcirculation in the dermis. It also has a growing reputation for being able to treat an uneven skin tone and to mitigate acne and the red marks it leaves behind (known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). It is an excellent ingredient for those struggling with wrinkles, uneven skin tone and breakouts. Niacinamide is stable in the presence of heat and light.

Dr. Oz tells viewers that the “niacinamide” form of vitamin B3 plugs fine lines and eliminates wrinkles. It works by repairing skin cells through increasing capillary dilation and improving blood flow.
“B3 is a triple threat for aging skin—it boosts three kinds of proteins,” says Dr. Oz as he tells viewers that together, the 3 proteins make skin look younger as follows: One of the proteins helps by plumping up the skin; a second protein referred to as a “hydration protein” helps by preventing skin dryness; while the third protein has a structural role that retrains the skin to undo existing wrinkles.
“A natural anti-inflammatory, vitamin B3 can keep your skin supple and smooth,” adds Dr. Oz.
